WDAS monthly meetings continue, the next taking place on April 14th - after the Easter school holiday, held at our usual venue, Whitby School, Prospect Hill. Start time is 7:30pm.

Meetings normally fall on the 1st Tuesday each month from October to May (January and April can be exceptions due to school holidays as is the case this year).  

If you are new to the area and would like to join the society, or have recently developed an interest in the night sky and want to take that “one small step”, please do come along, you will be very welcome. 

After the usual review of the night sky at the March meeting, society matters and associated plans re- Danby Observatory visits were briefly discussed.  Mark gave a presentation on Charles Messier, his legacy, the Messier marathon and how best to tackle the challenge.  Given that for once skies were clear!!!!! we even made time to pop into the Bruce Observatory and view Jupiter and a waning full Moon.
