The lecture was in aid of the 10th anniversary of Dark Sky Festivals hosted by North Yorkshire Moors National Parks (NYMNP) authority and was held at Sneaton Castle - Whitby.  Dame Maggie Aderin-Pocock was the guest speaker. Our first visit to this venue was highly rewarding. The clear skies enabled outdoor observations, while the high level of public interest justified presentations inside the centre as well.   [Read more about Star Party - National Trust Ravenscar Visitors Centre]

The events held at Whitby Youth Hostel during the half-term week to coincide with the Dark Skies Festival were predictably influenced by our weather.
