Time again for our monthly review of observing sessions (or lack of) spent at the Bruce Observatory. [Read more about Bruce Diary]
The events held at Whitby Youth Hostel during the half-term week to coincide with the Dark Skies Festival were predictably influenced by our weather. Our first visit to this venue was highly rewarding. The clear skies enabled outdoor observations, while the high level of public interest justified presentations inside the centre as well. [Read more about Star Party - National Trust Ravenscar Visitors Centre]
Monthly society meetings continue with the next meeting on March 4th. The venue is Whitby School (Prospect Hill site - formally Caedmon College - Nornanby Campus). Start time is 7:30pm. [Read more about Society Monthly Meetings ]
The lecture was in aid of the 10th anniversary of Dark Sky Festivals hosted by North Yorkshire Moors National Parks (NYMNP) authority and was held at Sneaton Castle - Whitby.
