WDAS members will be assisting at 'open door' events down at the Danby Lodge Dark Sky Station Observatory during May. Resolution of various equipment issues as well as IT connectivity will also be ongoing. There are no scheduled Star Party events planned elsewhere in May. Society monthly meetings for this season conclude in May, restarting in the autumn following our summer recess. The final meeting is on May 5th at Whitby School (Prospect Hill). Start time is 7:30pm, room H1, main block. [Read more about Society Meeting]

In our monthly meetings, we review the night sky for the upcoming month using a Planetarium program, have talks and presentations on astronomy and space topics, and discuss future events. New members are welcome.
