The event at the Fox and Hounds on 21st Oct probably should have been a casualty to Storm Barbet, but miraculously went ahead in rather odd circumstances.
Monthly meetings of WDAS have now resumed at Caedmon College - Normanby Campus, the next meeting being on Tuesday November 7th from 7:30pm. [Read more about Society Monthly Meetings and Observatory Open Nights Schedule. ]
In this new monthly feature the observing highs and lows experienced at the Bruce Observatory will be chronicled, so that you may read in awe and wonderment (or just chuckle) at our observing prowess or lack thereof. [Read more about Bruce Diary]
We have just the one outreach Star Party event scheduled for November, whether the conditions are suitable for observing, or not. The Outstation at Stape.

The event at the Whitby Youth Hostel on Oct 30th could so easily have been yet another casualty of the recent wet conditions and generally unsettled theme. In the end matters turned out as well as could be expected... considering Mark forgot to bring the eyepieces! Doh!
