WDAS monthly meetings will resume after the summer break on Tuesday, 13th October, rather than 6th October as previously stated. The meeting was moved back a week because Mark will be away on the original date.

There will be plenty to discuss after the summer break, including reports on August’s solar eclipse, the Regatta events, star parties and the DSS facility. Naturally we shall review the night sky too!

Meetings begin at 7:30pm in room H1 of the main block at Whitby School’s Prospect Hill site. They are normally held on the first Tuesday of each month from October to May, except this October; January and April dates may also vary because of school holidays.

If you are new to the area or have recently developed an interest in the night sky, please contact the society or come along to a meeting—you will be very welcome.

Bruce Observatory Open nights – at Whitby School, will recommence on Sunday Oct 18th, the other October date being the 25th, both starting from 7pm.
