I am sure WDAS members will be saddened to learn of the passing of fellow member Victor Holdsworth who had been a society member for over 16 years. Victor who moved to Whitby from the Harrogate area, joined the society after introducing himself and his wife at one of our Whitby Regatta events. Victor's wife sadly died a few years later, Victor continuing to live alone on Abbots Walk.  We only found out about Victor passing away at the end of November - being informed by next-door neighbours when Mark was delivering his sky notes

Victor regularly attended monthly meetings and never failed to miss the society Christmas meal. When more able, Victor would also volunteer to assist at star party events - usually transportation. Victor had no family ties in the area, but we pass on our condolences to family members. We shall certainly raise a glass to Victor at this year’s society Christmas meal.
